Man, according to Hollywood is either completely good, or bad. His personality is static, rarely showing any development either in growth or in regression. The villian is a black-eyed sinner who can do no good and who cannot be saved, while the hero is a glamourous being, who can do no wrong of his own volition, and who is always rewarded. Missing is a realistic concept of wthe human personality, a complex being who can love and hate who has the human frailties and virtues.
All amusement suffers from this incurable malady. Pleasure hardens into boredom because, if it is to remain pleasure, it must not demand any effort and therefore moves rigorously in the worn grooves of association. No independent thinking must be expected from the audience: the product prescribes every reaction...Any logical connection calling for mental effort is painstakingly avoided.
HAHA. I think the most recent movie that rebels against this pair of criticism is V for Vendetta. I picked this quotes from a book from the esplanade library because i went there to do some work and research on my PROJECT IDEA! Anyway this book is hard to understand.
